Fridays – The Masquerade Gala:
The Masquerade Gala is a costume-mandatory masquerade event. To ensure the quality of the event and the experience of our patrons, dress attire and masks are required for all in attendance.
Attire: Formal or semi-formal attire is required–tuxedos or suits for men and formal masquerade gowns or corset dresses for women. Guests may also wear wigs, hats and makeup, but these should be appropriate for a formal setting. (ie – powdered wigs for women and period-style hats for men.)
Examples: Black Tie, Formal, Secret Society, Venetian Carnival, Aristocratic, Steampunk, Historical, Masquerade, Period-wear, Gothic dress or Fashion chic is acceptable. Variations on these themes is encouraged.
No jeans, sneakers or T-shirts.
Masks: Masquerade masks can be small pieces that only cover the eyes to large masks that may include oversized noses, beaks or feathers. It is best to choose a mask that does not cover your mouth so that you can eat and drink easily. No character / monster / zombie / hero / novelty costume or related masks will be allowed. You cannot substitute makeup for a mask.
(Note: Any cross-dressing still must adhere to the dress code.)
Saturdays – Theatre Bizarre:
Saturday is an open costume event and the preview gala guidelines DO NOT apply. However Theatre Bizarre is a costume-mandatory event. The magic of Theatre Bizarre is the originality and effort put on display by everyone involved, from our dedicated crew to the performers to each and every one who attend this event. Some patrons make their costumes themselves, others have them made, and others mix and match elements to to craft something unique; creativity is the key. If you arrive without wearing a costume YOU WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY WITHOUT REFUND.
THIS POLICY APPLIES TO ALL PATRONS, CREW, PERFORMERS, VENDORS, PRESS, PHOTOGRAPHERS AND GUESTS. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
~All guns must be orange tipped and verified as toys by security before entry.
~NO AIRSOFT or any toy capable of firing a projectile are allowed in the event.
~Longbows are allowed as long as they are not strung, arrows with tips are not allowed.
~Swords, knives, dirks and daggers must be completely sheathed and peace-tied.
~Baseball bats, Axes, claymores, maces, pikes and halberds are NOT allowed in the venue.
~No drawing of any weapon at any time.
